This video covers the process of managing non-discountable products with Salesforce CPQ pricing. We will discuss flagging products as non-discountable and demonstrate setting discounts for the total net field. Additionally, we will explore the pricing settings offered in the Salesforce CPQ Managed Package.

From inside the quote line editor (QLE), we can do either a percent or a dollar discount within the additional discount field. It is possible to indicate that some of your products are non-discountable according to your organization’s needs.
In this example, our special damage potion has the “non-discountable” checkbox checked at the product level. Using CPQ Salesforce pricing, a lock icon will be displayed next to the additional discount field on the corresponding product line item when we navigate to the quote.
To make the special area of effect (AOE) potion also non-discountable, we will:
- Go to the product and choose edit.
- Under pricing, check the box for non discountable.
- Save
- Now add this product to a new quote to see that it is no longer discountable.
- Note: This will not apply retroactively, so quotes that have this product before the update will not reflect this as non-discountable.
Implementing this approach with Salesforce CPQ Pricing will help to ensure that these products are always sold at full price.
