We’re going to talk about how we can easily see what is part of a bundle and what is not part of a bundle in Salesforce CPQ which is part of Revenue Cloud. Right now, all of our products are showing up in a line and nothing’s indented. It’s a little bit tricky to tell what is part of a bundle and what is not part of a bundle. One way that you can tell is by looking over here on the side to see if the trash can’s available – it’s not part of a bundle. And if the trash can’s not available – then it is part of a bundle.
In all of Revenue Cloud but especially for nested products, it’s pretty challenging to tell which one is a product that’s part of the canvas backpack bundle and which one is nested inside. So what we can do if we go to setup and we look at installed packages, Next to the Salesforce CPQ package, we can click on Configure. Inside of this screen, we have the option to look at the line editor settings.
If we click on View, Visualize Product Hierarchy, right here, and Save, that’s going to give us a much more intuitive view, in my opinion. I’ll just go ahead and refresh this page, and now we can see that these products have been indented. Changing how things display in cases like this can be a big part of Salesforce Revenue Cloud Consulting.
So, the canvas backpack is a parent, and one of the children underneath that parent is special damage. Underneath special damage, we have a nested bundle for special AoE, and another product under the backpack bundle is minor shield potion, as well as minor health potion. This minor shield potion is completely separate and it’s not part of the canvas backpack at all.
